We, here at Kontactr, have launched a new feature today. Its called “Kontactr Pop Up” form (KPU in short). With this brand new feature, we are taking one more step towards making Kontactr easy for you to make it easy for your visitors to contact you (pretty complex statement huh ?).
So, whats this Kontactr Pop Up form ? Well, we had the Simple HTML Embed widget. Then we had the AJAX widget that looks similar but allows your visitors to contact you without leaving your website. We had buttons too, that saved space. And now, we have special buttons that allows your visitors to contact you without leaving your website.
Basically the KPU code comes in three formats. The text link, the small button and the big button. For demo, please visit : http://kontactr.com/kpu/demo.html
Where can you find the KPU code for your form ? Just login to your account and we’ve got it right there at the place where you used to find the usual buttons codes.
Today we discovered a minor bug in our new AJAX form widget. A few emails that were being sent did not have line breaks and experienced similar formating issues. We have now fixed it now. All emails that are being sent out through our system are bug free. If you experience any, feel free to report them to us.
We have some cool new features here at Kontactr. Check them out below.
AJAX Form widget
The most awaited AJAX Form widget is now here. Now, users will be able to submit forms without even leaving your website. This means that the form will be processed and submitted right from your website. You can see this widget in action at http://kontactr.com/test/.
Refferer Track
By using the same form on lots of different websites, it becomes difficult to identify the website from which a form is being submitted. You’ll no more have this problem. Along with every email that is sent, we add a footer showing the URL of the page from which the form was submitted.
Feel free to add your comments and suggestions below in the comments.
We are happy to inform you about a new feature at Kontactr.
So far, a user needs to specify a redirect page for Embedded contact forms. This made it impossible for users to use the form on different sites, since one form cannot redirect to a Thank-you page on another site. So we have removed that feature and made our system automatically detect the page from which the form is submitted. After submitting, the user will be redirected back to the page he was on. This reduces the work on your part and also adds the ability for the form to be used on many different sites.
Feel free to share your opinions about this in the comments.
After few weeks of private beta testing, Kontactr is not open for public. So far so good. I have not heard any negative comments nor any errors/bugs and i hope i don’t.
Currently Kontactr is a simple service with minimal features. However, more features are in the works. Within this month, we will be testing a new statistics feature that will help users track submissions from their embedded forms (just like Google Adsense’s channels, but simpler).
Also, i will soon try to make a video tour of Kontactr so that it becomes easy for new users.
