Global citizenship is the rights, responsibilities and duties that come with being a member of the global community that is the world.

The term "citizen" refers to an identity between a person and a city, state or nation and their right to work, live and participate politically in a particular geographic area.

When combined with the term "global", it typically defines a person who places their identity with a "global community" above their identity as a citizen of a particular nation or place.

The idea is that one’s identity transcends geography or political borders and that responsibilities or rights are or can be derived from membership in a broader class: "humanity".

This does not mean that such a person denounces or waives their nationality or other, more local identities, but such identities are given "second place" to their membership in a global community.

Extended, the idea leads to questions about the state of global society in the age of globalization.

In general usage, the term may have much the same meaning as "world citizen" or cosmopolitan, but it also has additional, specialized meanings in differing contexts.

A community is a small or large social unit (a group of people) who have something in common, such as norms, religion, values, or identity.

Often - but not always - communities share a sense of place that is situated in a given geographical area (e.g. a country, village, town, or neighborhood).

Durable relations that extend beyond immediate genealogical ties also define a sense of community.

People tend to define those social ties as important to their identity, practice, and roles in social institutions like family, home, work, government, society, or humanity, at large.

Although communities are usually small relative to personal social ties (micro-level), "community" may also refer to large group affiliations (or macro-level), such as national communities, international communities, and virtual communities.

The legal definition of child generally refers to a minor, otherwise known as a person younger than the age of majority.

A skill is the ability to carry out a task with pre-determined results often within a given amount of time, energy, or both.

Skills can often be divided into domain general and domain-specific skills.

For example, in the domain of work, some general skills would include time management, teamwork and leadership, self-motivation and others, whereas domain-specific skills would be useful only for a certain job.

Skill usually requires certain environmental stimuli and situations to assess the level of skill being shown and used.

A resource is a source or supply from which benefit is produced.

Resources are two types based upon their availability they are renewable and non renewable resources.

Typically resources are materials, energy, services, staff, knowledge, or other assets that are transformed to produce benefit and in the process may be consumed or made unavailable.

Benefits of resource utilization may include increased wealth or wants, proper functioning of a system, or enhanced well being.

From a human perspective a natural resource is anything obtained from the environment to satisfy human needs and wants.

From a broader biological or ecological perspective a resource satisfies the needs of a living organism (see biological resource).
